The time has FINALLY arrived. Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online is almost here. When Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online first was introduced in the U.S. Arcades, many Street Fighters were left scratching their heads, while true-diehards learned the new play mechanics and a thing called 'parry'. The game went underground and rumors and hearsay surfaced all over. Dreamcast got the game, not much fanfare on that. It is still the BEST version, arcade perfect! Then PS2 got it, happy hooray. Xbox got it. Yay. It was backwards compatible with a few very noticeable differences. The online play was eventually taken down. "Profound Sadness.", but who actually played every weekend after a few years? We tried, but the lobbies were tedious and only allowed one-on-one, instead of queuing up ready to go fighters, like in the old arcades.
Now 2011!! Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online is HERE once more to settle the score. Pre-Order now and get some bonus content! Street Fighter IV was desired badly amongst the sleeping crew of Street Fighters and Mad Gear/Final Fight players..... Street Fighter in 3D? Oh NO!!! But low and behold, it was pulled off and appreciated. Then Super Street Fighter IV arrived. "So stronnnnggg.." is what quite a few people gasped. Skills of the newcomers just blew some of us away, while youtube has changed the play level by speeding up a long learning process of self exploratory combos, some combos from certain fighters can get spotted easily.
Super Street Fighter IV:AE - The Twins joined the fray.. Yang and Yun. Two of SFIII:TS's (also appeared in Street Fighter III: New Generation and 2nd Impact) more well-known characters as you can not just pick them and learn their basic moves and expect to win. These two boys, grandsons of our beloved, but feared Gen, friend of Chun Li, are to be reckoned with.
Now Street Fighter is re-visiting its old roots - 2D!!! Street Fighter III:Third Strike Online should be a great experience. We hope we have 4+ man lobbies where we can spectate and talk to one another. Those who fell to cheap antics in the Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV series may lay justice down in 2D once again.
